Communications Intern - Allergy & ENT Associates
Allergy & ENT Associates is the largest multi-specialty allergy, asthma, and ENT practice in Houston, focused on providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a motivated and creative Communications Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in internal and external communications, working directly with our Director of Marketing and Communications.
Location: Houston, TX (In-person/Hybrid)
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Position Summary
As a Communications Intern, you will work on diverse projects that build communication skills and contribute to both internal and external communications efforts. You will be responsible for assisting in crafting clear, engaging messages to staff, patients, and the media, ensuring consistency in the company’s voice and tone.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Communications:
Assist in the development of monthly staff newsletters, including content creation, editing, and design coordination.
Support the preparation of executive announcements and internal memos for various departments.
Collaborate on building out and maintaining the company’s intranet to improve employee engagement and access to resources.
External Communications
Contribute to the execution of email marketing campaigns aimed at increasing patient retention, including drafting content and analyzing campaign performance.
Draft press releases and media materials to support public relations efforts, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
Develop talking points and briefing documents for media interviews and speaking engagements.

Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Interest in healthcare communications is preferred.
