Student Influencer - UH Student Life

Position Type: On-campus, NON- College work study

Student Life is dedicated to promote student success through hundreds of events, programs, and services each year. Our Get Involved team works with all our departments and University Sponsored Organizations (USOs) to promote and raise awareness of all involvement opportunities for students. We’re seeking students interested in marketing, social media management, photography, videography, and/or digital media.

Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Identifies trends and develops content for Instagram, Reels, and TikTok that provides value to UH students

• Experience editing photos and videos

• Engage in conversation with followers and is comfortable appearing on camera

• Creates, uploads, and monitors social media content

• Explores new ways to showcase the University of Houston (UH) student body community from a personal perspective

• Plans valuable marketing campaigns

• Create brand awareness for Get Involved

• Uses social media marketing tools

• Perform other duties as assigned Desired

Qualifications

• Experience in social media management

• Self-motivated with the ability to exhibit professional behavior at all times

• Ability to accept constructive feedback and implement recommendations for improvement as directed · Ability to work independently or in a group

• Flexible availability for assignments; may include evening or weekend availability
