Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live event business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, working 15-20 hours per week. You must have availability to be in office Tues-Thurs.
THE POSITION
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual, who is interested in learning more about photo/video content for festivals and events.
Candidate should have an interest in music and content creation, serious attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently. The ideal Photo/Video Intern will be a highly detail-oriented person that can keep up with the ever-changing landscape of festival content marketing strategy. Strong communication skills are absolutely necessary to maintain an efficient, organized media library that consists of years’ worth of precious archival footage and images as well as helping to keep the departmental finances in order. By the completion of the internship, the Photo/Video Intern will have learned about the inner workings of an event/festival photo/video production.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Logging and organizing footage and media.
Editing rough assemblies, pulling selects for various projects, compiling assets for marketing campaigns.
Editing short videos for festival or artist social channels.
Digitizing archival footage.
Maintaining media library.
Shooting b-roll at festivals.
Tracking budgets and processing invoices.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires you to be in our Austin, TX office Tuesday-Thursday. This is not a remote internship opportunity
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere CC, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
Familiarity with MS Excel and other Office products.
Organized and serious attention to detail.
Passion for music.
Working knowledge of social networking sites including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X.
Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for
Junior or Senior standing
Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
Creative thinker and problem solver
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
Able to work 12 to 15 hours per week
